Haha toyed with getting rid of it, but couldn't be bothered. Prob will when I re-do the kitchen.

If its a plumbed in system then yes, the electrical ones are not so great.

Cheers. Will probably be buying a new place soon and while refurbing was thinking of doing it. Will have a read up on it.

I think it came out pretty well (a floating floor really opens the space up) but I'm not totally happy with the wine rack, I think it doesn't hold enough wine.

I would put it in if you have chance. If you're going to such expense/big job you should also consider how you're going to keep the heat inside the house (insulation and vapour barriers, etc). Makes a massive difference.

Have it and not worth it imo, supposed to be a massive money saver but the difference is miniscule compared to houses the same size with other types of heating. Might be different in uk where you have less extreme winter though.

admittedly I dont have an ideal house layout for underfloor heating and i run my house like a sauna (no nick)

i agree joe, only in the bathroom. pointless anywhere else. my floors never cold when the heatings on
