Iphones are more stable as they have less variables to work with (differrent brands, models, OS versions).
On the other side theyre more expensive compared to other brands, apple charges a foot and a leg for everything and the OS is more rigid.
Not really one better than the other, just what you want out of a phone. I do think most people prefer the iphone because of its more straightforward OS though… until it breaks.

I use a Xiaomi Mi6, i reckon it's crashed twice in the year i've had it. It's still faster than my work iphone and I paid £300 for it, £1000 for a phone is obscene and totally unnecessary

Had used iPhone since iPhone 3G came out, switched to OnePlus for a year, switched back to iPhone and recently switched to Pixel 2.
Agreed, iPhones are stable, but I'd say Pixel lineups are on par with iPhone in term of stability. Both Apple and Google are vertically integrated, they're responsible for their own software and hardware.
As for straightforwardness, I'd say the same, it's just a matter of getting used to.
What I like about iPhones is their service, genius bar etc. But can't justify their price, the new XS Max goes up to 1.5k

Considering a pixel 3 XL in an all google move in the home, or a XR. Need to feel in hand, so much bigger over my current wrecked 5S.

Yeah also still on the 7. Can’t think what else I need from a phone to justify the change. My Mrs will be getting a new one though so her 7 will be for sale on here in future.

Agree it is a lot for a phone but I think given how much we use it, it isn’t actually that overpriced.
Or that’s how I’m justifying it anyway…
