Depends on what you're upgrading from. Missus moved from a 6S to an iPhone 12 Pro and it was a huge leap for her. I'm still on the 11 Pro (going from a 6S) and that too was a giant leap. However, not much in it between the 12 Pro and 11 Pro. Either way, I'd say go for the 12 Pro if you're not bothered about the larger footprint (no beadle hand).
also it depends what you are looking for in a phone.
music, basic texting, taking pictures etc. - I would go for the mini
gaming, lot of filming in 4k, constant mailing, texting - go for the 12

She only uses it for the odd app (car parking, shopping, strava)… and taking pics… Think the mini is the best shout or downgrading her to a XR/SE.
Both are a step up from her 6

Virgin and O2 have merged so could end up having shared networks. O2 has the best 2G coverage in the country I believe.

I need to look at leaving Three as my bill is always quite high despite being on unlimited everything. Just hate the procedure and dealing with customer service for stuff like this and the last time I swapped providers it was messing with my phone for months afterwards.

if she is upgrading from a series 6 I would go for the newest one - the mini
the XR is already two years old and the SE 2.0 almost one
se/ mini have almost the same size but the mini has the better and bigger display
the big plus for the mini - A14 Chip, 5G, better camera (two) bot front and back, the lightest of them all

going to leave three so i can keep free roaming. looking at o2/virgin. how is virgin coverage in london? three sucks but O2 works really well (have an O2 work phone)

Just upgraded so got one going spare but don’t really want to have to deal with knackers on the bay.
It’s the black one, 128gb, boxed with unused charger and plug (no headphones), couple of scratches on the case (can take pics). Let me know if interested.
