this was my thought. Who takes the deal without looking round anyway?
edit: do you get the 10 days cooling period on a re-sign like you do when you first sign?

BBM coming to iOS and Android. Interesting, wonder how much it will be.

Got a call from Orange today, bloke said he can reduce my tariff from £37pm to £36, and at the same time give me 750mb of 4G data instead of 3G data. Im only using about 350mb a month anyway so it suits me. He then said there wouldn't be a change to my term plan, continuing from my old one for another 18 months…I've said yes, but have i been duped in some way? No such thing as a free lunch etc.
Not 'duped' as such, but it just doesn't sound like that good of a deal.
You are committing to another 18 month contract, in return for a saving of £1 a month on your monthly tariff, and swapping 3G data for 4G data (but by your own admission you're only using 350mb of 3G data a month anyway, so what use will you have for 750mb of 4G?).
Edit: Or do you mean that you aren't signing up to a new deal, and just continuing in your old one for the remaining 18 months (of a presume an original 2 year deal)?
If that's the case, then it's obviously worth doing providing you check the T&C's.

It sounds like you've signed up for another 18 months but haven't got a new phone out of it? So not really a very good deal.

Sorry, didnt make myself clear. I'm not signed up to a new contract, continuing on the old one. I signed up for a 24 month contract and have been on it for 6 months, leaving 18 months left.
I've basically been given 4G access instead of 3G so the net is quicker, without a new contract, and its lowered it by a quid p/m

krisricey you haven't been ripped off if that's how long you had anyway but you should just be carefull about apps using your background connection, when you go over the charges seem to be a lot more. A friend watched youtube on mine and the fees at the end of the month were crazy.
