Still have my S2 going strong. I'm running Cyanogenmod ( a custom ROM) that keeps the phone upto date and gets rid of all the bloatware. I would say that to get the most out of a great android phone you have to be technical and know about rooting the device and installing ROMs, otherwise stick to iphones.

Anyone done a colour change on their iPhone?
Getting an upgrade on my 4S and might colour change it and keep it as a work phone.

I did a colour change on my previous iPhone. To all Black, results were good - but gets scratched quite easily - had to purchase a cover for it.

Just got an iPhone 5 on Vodafone, they've said the phone needs to be activated for 16 days before they can unlock it for me. Is there another way I can do it quicker?

Going abroad soon, do Vodafone unlock your phone while on contract or do you have to wait till it ends?

They're supposed to charge £20 for it but you can easily blag them to do it for free.

Did you pay to get it done or did you do it yourself?
How much did it cost?

Apple sell'em for £529, so 400-450 is pretty good.

Sorry, just seen this - I had it done for me.

The replacement cost like £8 (two weeks wait though)

Paying someone to do it cost £18-25 if I remember correctly.

Any one taken in a jail broken iPhone to genius to get fixed? Wondering if they just void warranty on the spot and tell you to do one. The volume on my iPhone five has suddenly gone so quiet, can barely listen to music on it. Much louder on my iPhone 4. Can't be dealing with uninstalling jb taking it to apple and then re jail breaking

Cheers

monday

this had better be good. iOS6 was the weakest update so far and the iPhone 5 the most underwhelming new device in the line

A few years back i jailbroke an iphone 3gs, then reformatted it back to the normal Apple OS. I cracked the back case and took it in to Apple for a repair which i was happy to pay for. The "genius" said although it was out of warranty he'd do it for free. Result! He plugged the iphone in and within seconds unplugged it and handed it back to me saying something along the lines of "This phone has been jailbroken, we won't touch jailbroken phones with a barge pole"
