I've cut normal into micro but not into nano. Might be more tricky as you're getting s lot closer to the actual "chip"

I've done it, tried to use a printout template but ended up just cutting by eye. Was a bit uneven but works fine

yeah you can just waltz in and ask them, they'll just grab one off the shelf for you, straight swap.

How do I go about this from people's experience.

I dropped my phone deep in a huge puddle, removed it immediately.i have a feeling it's going to be fucked. My phone has ran out of battery and I'll leave it a while to air dry before trying to charge.

If it doesn't charge - will Apple look at it if it's jailbroken (which they won't be able to tell until further checks plus it has a lock on the phone so would need restoration).

My phone is well in warranty is it a simple process?

Forgot about the indicator. Thanks, will check once I return home - It's highly likely that it would've changed colour.

Its not the water that messes it up, its all the shit in the water which accumulates on the contacts and board of the phone. Dont turn it on no matter what you do and dont charge it. You want to get one of these:

yeah man dont switch it on. they won't know its jailbroken either - my jailbroken ipad went through one of their diagnostics with flying colours (unless of course you have some springboard theme loaded)

Just got back and it seems, no water damage - indicator is still silver/white.

Might just allow it to dry completely for a few days then restore before taking to apple store.

This. Have got it through Lloyds and everything is covered, accidental, water etc. £50 excess for iPhones which is pretty much the market rate.
