Just had this back from Zenmarket:
“if you wish to change the declared value of your items, please choose a different shipping method. When you choose your shipping method on the "parcels" tab of your account, if the option to change the declared value appears, it means that the change is possible. Most of courier shipping methods (FedEx, UPS) don't allow the change of declared value anymore”

From this morning as well.

Dear…

Thank you for choosing our service.
It should be possible to lower declared value for FedEx parcels.

Best regards,
Mariana

Wierd Sunbeam says you can't lower values for Fedex, and you get a message saying you can???

Wierd Sunbeam says you can't lower values for Fedex, and you get a message saying you can???

Yeah, really weird!
It’s only my second parcel with them, so maybe it’s that - as I believe you’ve ordered quite a lot previously Hanto? But how come I was able to lower the value on my 1st parcel..
Annoying thing is, when I created the second parcel, I lowered the fees and declared them at 10%. However when I saw they’d generated the shipping label it had the full value on there, hence me messaging them. So must have only recently changed?
I’m hesitant using them again now, but will be interesting to see if anyone else who uses them is affected

Same, I am hesitant as well. I have used them a fair amount as you say, the last package I created was my 24th.

I don't know if it comes down to how much you have used with them, but I definitely know that UPS cannot be marked down, and FedEx can, as of that last message. It could also be that they don't want it to be common knowledge?

Whats the jacket? This is a breakdown of the shipping for the Thorson.

35cm × 28cm × 22cm - 2370g
SHIPPING: ¥4,431
INSURANCE: ¥1,340

That was for Express so 2-4 days.

Its W)taps or Nonnative Jacket, not a down coat if that helps.

Appreciate the quote Hanto, think I message them just in case.

I've got other things that have been delivered. If you can guess the weight roughly I can compared what I paid before. They normally do a fair amount of padding and bubble wrap for protection, which is very good imo from the norm but they can be heavier. Kind you couriers are normally more generous with weight link limits.

Thanks, honestly don't know the weight but it can't be too heavy. I emailed them anyway about marking down, but yeah thanks again Hanto, and Sumbeam.

Thank you for the message.
We apologize for the inconveniences, but we do not provide a service of lowering declared value.

Best regards,
Mariana

Only thing we can conclude from this import confusion is that Hanto needs to cop the Valdez sooner rather than later.

My order arrived today, it was 22k yen, which wasn’t marked down. I expected I’d have to pay any fees before the item was delivered.
Is that not the case? Can I expect something through the door asking me to pay in the next few days?
