As one of the original GJs on here, I had to share this when I came upon it.

Sadly Jimmy is suffering Alzheimers Disease and is in a nursing home. He is physically in great shape for a man of 87 but no longers recognises his wife, Bryony.

She has written a book about his life and career, and it's a good read for anyone with an interest in football. It's called 'My gentleman Jim'.

Jimmy Hill

(I still read these forums quite a bit, although I don't post as I doubt I can add anything of interest to you guys. It has kept me amused and informed through some long and difficult nights. Thank you x )

Sadly not, although randomly found out that my mum apparently knows Bryony, Jimmy's wife, from years ago. I only found out last month after my brother made a throwaway joke about 'Uncle Jimmy' because our surname is Hill.

Have you told his grandson about 'Golden Jimmys' and all that?

No, i thought about it, but thought it might be a little awkward. Im sure he would approve as its all in a good spirit. He has lost a lot of weight recently apparently, not doing so good.
