Watched 30 Days of Night, last night. If i was at my house watching, it would have been turned of after 20 mins as it looked garbage and Josh Hartnett can't act for toffee. But it did get better and in the end with the whole cinema factors such as sound it was decent. 6/10

on the halloween front, went to see a double grindhouse feature from psychotronic cinema at glasgow gft last night, saw 3 and a bit hours of frank henenlotters hilarious gore fest, 'bastket case' and after an intermission followed by 'brain damage.' really good b movie cinema, classics in there own right.

and the night before, saw the counterfeiters, a must see.

I regretably saw Van Helsing when it came out and found it mostly boring and far too long. I hate it when that happens to a comic or computer game. Maybe that's why I was so overly critical about Resident Evil 3. The first was ok but because that made some money they make 2 more. I probably will see Hitman…

Batman Begins is my comic book to big screen barometer. Superman Returns was a good effort.

rendition - long and boring and the so called "twist" is a pile of tosh, failed to give the wow effect it was trying to achieve imo and totally uneccesary. contributes nothing to the story

v for vendetta - loved it

Eastern Promises- mostly tv movie message plot, apart from when they touch on the mythology behind the Russian mafia (movie on its own), but worth seeing just for Viggo's brilliant performance, and I don't mean his testicles.

Looks like they've diverted quite a bit from the comic, but that was a pile of overblown shit anyway. Some nice action beats in the trailer, and liked that opening bit with Jolie.

Yeah it was. After LOTR I figured Viggo would become a huge star, but it's kind of good he keeps doing these smaller films, especially if you get performances like that. They should go on and do a proper Godfather-esque Vory V Zakone movie.

I quite fancied watching A History Of Violence, was that any good? Just looked up that Hidalgo on imdb and i might give that a watch. Just found out that Mortenson is almost 50!
