Re the inbetweeners, has there ever been a sitcom that's been turned into a movie that's actually been better than the series? Should have taken note of what happened to Bottom, Ali G and Kevin and Perry etc…

Thick of it & in the loop?? Never saw the league of gentleman film, what was that like compared to the series???

League of Gentleman film was proper shit and this is from a big fan of the series

^ agreed. They didn't want to make it like an extended episode but what they came up with didn't work at all.

I thought Rise of the Planet of the Apes was good but kind of anti climatic. Seemed a bit unsure of what it wanted to be, first half your thinking right its all gearing up to a big action finale (while still being enjoyable) then turns into a sort of touching drama… I enjoyed it but was hoping for a proper action movie with Gorillas toting machine guns Laughing out loud

Sucker Punch - I only wathched it for the CGI, so wasn't dissapointed, no plot to speak of.
I can see why straight guys would like this film.

Can't be the worst of the franchise

Plot wrote: Meanwhile, a Presidential Commission has been formed to investigate the return of Taylor's spaceship and how the apes, which they already are aware are atypically intelligent, came to be aboard it. The apes are brought before the Presidential Commission, where they publicly reveal their ability to speak, and are welcomed as guests.
The apes become celebrities, being lavished with presents and media attention.

Laughing out loud

did it include the line "I hate every ape I see, from chimpan A to chimpan Z"?

I swear anything planet of the apes related and that line's revolving round in my head for a few hours.

Charlton Heston says it in the first POTA film when the apes have him in a net.

the quote has been used in loads of stuff like the Simpsons, Family Guy etc. etc.

Thought APES was really good. Great to see the CGI wipe the humans off the screen. Serkis did a blinding job and the best stuff was the scenes in the ape pen. Pretty obvious it wasn't going to be a big action extravaganza, but thought the climax was really well handled considering.

It's the archetypal middle class film, overrated IMO.

Completely agree. I wasnt expecting the war to be included just the prelude and based on this film hope the reboot continues.
