Essential Kill last night. Maybe would have been good as a short but it just went on & on with little to no dialogue… 2/5

Check out The Holy Mountain & El Topo. definitely two of the most fucked up films I've seen. Not bordeline torture porn line Salo but just fucking bizarre…. I think John Lennon and Yoko Ono funded the Holy mountain

oh fuck, some weird shit, el topo? whoa!

In Time. Same director as Gattaca and Lord of War. Liked it apart from the most laughable car stunt I’ve ever seen like something from Thunderbirds with a proper toy car and plastic people driving. In fact it actually spoilt it for me. Timberlake was fair, and Seyfried was fit.

No where near as good as Gattaca, but there were a lot of cinematography similarities eg swimming in the sea, filming on rooftops etc.

Liked all of timberlakes kit Oops

Thoughts on Potiche Bruk?

Wasnt sure what to make of it to be honest… came away a little bit Puzzled
familial/gender politics, with a sprinkling of subversive/comic elements
Deneuve is probably the best thing about the film, Depardieu is (as ever) a right ugly bastard

Not sure i mentioned Point Blank… somewhere it was reviewed it as "Taken to the power of 10" (like thats any kind of endorsment!!)
it is however a short but entertaining thriller despite a pretty pedestrian last 20 minutes where all the loose ends are neatly tied

Snowtown - Like a more depraved Dogpound. Some scenes were too long, and it didn't really hold my attention.
Another Earth - Great story, plot and visuals. Amazing. Loved it.

Stake Land - Fairly decent. Empire review accurate. Worth a watch
