Pixar's Brave earlier today which was about all my brain could handle after 2 consecutive weddings and carnival yesterday. Really liked it.

did anyone see polisse? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1661420/ fucking amazing, based on true events and can only assume it was initially meant to be a documentary and the police wouldnt allow the footage to be used once they had seen it because it all seems so real 9/10

Must have watched it the same night, really enjoyed it. Unbelievably shot.
Irreversible was so much better but Enter the Void was still great. Superbly shot at the very least.
went to see Take This Waltz last night for £4 at Hackney Picture House
Chick flick but a good chick flick. 7/10
Is irreversible as brutal as its wiki makes out?
Gaspar Noé is very dark. It is brutal but I think part of it is the way the score, sounds and movement of the camera utilised throughout the film are designed to make you feel constantly unsettled and nervous, and obvious method within certain genres but Noé does it fucking well. For instance during the first 60 minuets the score stays at a constant of 27-hertz which Noé designed to produce nausea in the audience.
Have been trying to find a link to stream or download his first film la carne, but no luck. any ideas?
Carne is fucked, not for the faint hearted.
secrets in their eyes… finally… had it on dvd since it was released… amazing film!!!

JIRO DREAMS OF SUSHI is the story of 85-year-old Jiro Ono, considered by many to be the world’s greatest sushi chef. He is the proprietor of Sukiyabashi Jiro, a 10-seat, sushi-only restaurant inauspiciously located in a Tokyo subway station. Despite its humble appearances, it is the first restaurant of its kind to be awarded a prestigious three-star Michelin Guide rating, and sushi lovers from around the globe make repeated pilgrimage, calling months in advance and shelling out top dollar for a coveted seat at Jiro’s sushi bar.

Dark shadows - really enjoyed this, sharp script and great performances all round. Haven't seen Michelle phiffer for ages, she still looks great (no milf).
Expendables 2 - good to see the old bunch all on the screen at once but film was terrible. Van damme v sly ending was weak as were the one liners ("rest in pieces" was ok). Chuck Norris didn't know what was going on.
