Class of '92 - OK if you're a United fan I s'pose. Detest Clive Tyldesley's dubbed commentary though. There's nothing worse than a commentator attempting to pretend that it's live commentary when it's scripted and he knows what's gonna happen. Shit.

saw Gravity last night

amazing visuals but thought the dialogue was quite clunky in places and there were a few ham-fisted moments (dog barking bit etc…)

found the use of non-diegetic music to ramp up the tension in the action scenes annoying after a while - more silence would have heightened the sense of isolation and been a better accompaniment to the images imo

it's a decent streamlined action thriller but don’t think it’ll hold up well to home viewing as when you take away the effects the story is very slight and there’s no real depth to any of the character (Bullock’s dead daughter backstory felt very tacked on)

Out of The Furnace - Furk me that was depressing. Middle America really is fucking grim, the old industry towns that thrived now fucked and everyone is one Meth are a mess. Film starts off slow but it does start to to pull you in and I enjoyed it but its fucking depressing and Bales character just keeps getting kicked in the nuts. 7/10 good watch.

Prisoners - The acting in this one is just great from especially Jackman and Gyllenhaal that both did a good job. Kinda disappointed that the ending couldn't match the whole build-up that was so good. Amazing atmosphere and intensity throughout the whole movie that makes it stand out.

Fruitvale station - What a sad movie, got goosebumps towards the ending with some heavy and powerful scenes. The acting is just awesome, Michael B Jordan is a class actor that deserves all the praise coming his way. Beautiful imagery and good work with the cutting keeping it simple but also effective in that.

New Hobbit is much better than the first. Less singing and walking. Didn't actually realise they've managed to turn 1 book into 3 films though.

Fell asleep in the Goblin Adventure.
Anchorman 2 was good fun and I don't usually like comedies.

Prisoners - Just watched this. Don't remember being that moved by a film probably since American Beauty. Stunning and gripping film from start to end, i think more so if you have kids. Took title of my film of the year away from Pain and Gain, and should be an Oscar for Jackman. 10/10
