Whoever cast Dane Dehaan as James Dean needs shooting. Started watching 'Life' and had to turn off for his atrocious James Dean impersonation. Its laughable IMO. Shame as I like Corbijn and the film seemed ok but needed a different Dean.

The Big Short - Tone was all over the place, and the sponsored by just for men hair dos were fucking awful. What has Bale done to his nose??, the weight loss/gain has fucked him up, he looks in a bad way. All that "he did this in real life!!!" stuff was wank too.

Boring film, badly shot and rubbish acting. I didn't like it at all.

The Nirvana - Lithium cover was terrible.

Big Short was all mumbo jumbo to me, had a basic idea of what was happening but for me wasn't that great, highlight of the film, Margot Robbie's 30 second role explaining what some of the terminology meant, won't be watching again in a hurry

On the other hand, watched Macbeth last night, preeeety good, brought back memories of sixth form English literature days…

rainierland.com is a a very decent site for streaming movies on. Similar to a site mentioned a few pages back. No ads and a decent user interface for a streaming site

Hateful Eight is entertaining, too long, the ending is shit and not an obv one you would go back to. Samuel L Jackson is way long in the tooth, pretty much like the dialogue throughout…..sub par QT movie.

+1 for Revenant & Black Mass

She looks good but I could not comprehend her crossbred American-Australian.

The Big Short - liked it. Not a cinematic masterpiece but entertaining - 7/10
The Assassin - Beautiful cinematography but too much of snoozefest story line. Can handle slow paced movies, but this was too much - 6/10 (would wash lead actress though)
Demolition - Typical Gyllenhaal character/movie, he's playing well again though. Interesting balance between drama & comedy and other than a slight cheese ending I think it worked really well. Good soundtrack too. - 8/10

The Revenant Ubercool DiCaprio smashed it and thought Tom Hardy was good, although his words at the start were quite hard to make out.
