Midnight Special . Superb, Shannon giving the full Shannon as always, the kid is great and the lanky dude from Girls is always quality, saw a lot of critics say it lost it in the last third, not at all, I could tell the film was going down the aliens type route from the start, as a whole it's nicely evocative of close encounters.

Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance- At times genuinely unpleasant. Other characters relation to the main character isn't clear enough. The social realism and the way it flows are spectacular, there's one shot with the main character in a crowd leaving his workplace and without looking back it has me wondering if some literally follow the same route as him and pop up later in the film.
