Midnight Special . Superb, Shannon giving the full Shannon as always, the kid is great and the lanky dude from Girls is always quality, saw a lot of critics say it lost it in the last third, not at all, I could tell the film was going down the aliens type route from the start, as a whole it's nicely evocative of close encounters.

Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance- At times genuinely unpleasant. Other characters relation to the main character isn't clear enough. The social realism and the way it flows are spectacular, there's one shot with the main character in a crowd leaving his workplace and without looking back it has me wondering if some literally follow the same route as him and pop up later in the film.

If you thought that was ok you might also like I SAW THE DEVIL and THE CHASER. The Yellow Sea is also worth viewing.

Bone Tomahawk, decent! Lili Simmons is perfect.

The chaser is amazing! vengeance trilogy very good too!

I borrowed the TMNT comics from my neighbor in the late '80s yet I had never seen Blade Runner all the way through until last night. Watched the directors cut on DVD and the Criterion on LD. Cool movie. No interest in TMNT cartoon/movies

Night of the living dead- Definitely felt innovative, especially seeing as I thought it was 80s movie when it was actually made in 1968. The acting is poor from some characters. I actually liked the supposed visceral parts where the actors moved like swimming through treacle.
