The Neon Demon. Still a little unsure how I felt about it tbh. Looked stunning but as a story teller Winding Refn is missing something.

ZERO DAYS
http://gb.imdb.com/title/tt5446858/

Really great DOC on the US + Israel fucking the World with STUXNET virus, trying (and succeeding) in fucking the IRANIAN Nuclear weapons program - OPEN YOUR EYES!

Money Monster - MOR thriller which was gonna be turned of after 5 mins, stick with it - canny.

Weiner . Great doc about US politics, this guy Weiner just can't stop pulling out his dick and sending pics to hot girls online, he gets busted a second time while campaigning for new york mayor and sort of whispers to the camera guy "why the fuck am i letting you film this?"

Money Monster . Ultimately a fail but entertaining, Fuk favourite Jack O Connell good but I'd like to see him in better films, competing with Fassbender and Farrell as he's definitely good enough.

Green Room . Didn't know till after that it was made by the blue ruin guy, one of last years top ten films, nice gore thats well done and an ok story but captain jean luc picard keeps his english fucking accent and it jars! Watchable though.

Great film but probably preferred Blue Ruin. Messed up what happened to Anton Yelchin.

Hunt for the wilder people is great, definitely recommend. Like Up meets Moonrise Kingdom, if you wanna be really reductive about it.

Land of Silence and Darkness- Caught most of it yesterday. Puts the feat of a deaf blind person graduating from Harvard into perspective. I want to know how teaching techniques have improved from since it was made in the 70's. They had to manually program them to feel their voice, move their mouth and copy sounds from the teacher. This leads to language without the comprehension of abstract ideas, which is another step.

Just been on a gangster tip and revisted Casino, Goodfellas, Carlito's Way, Scarface and that Depp film Black Mass.
Was trying to work out if Depp killed it with his Boston accent or was just phoning home.

I'm not a serial killer - loved it. Didn't read the book it was based on and saw the trailer thinking it was your usual serial killer film but great little reveal near the start of the movie, did not expect that. Christopher Lloyd is great in it, good to see him doing something completely different.

The Mermaid. If you like Stephen Chow's brand of humour (Shaolin Soccer, Kung Fu Hustle) this is worth seeing purely for the Octopus scenes and OTT CGI.

Childhood of a leader

Kept trying to look for some kind of big hidden meaning or subtle point that was being made, but on reflection it just needs to be taken at face value. Film has some good ideas and whilst its probably a bit over ambitious, its worth a watch. 3/5

Watched this and wished I didn't. Absolute shit film. Chow has not been on form for many years. He was better as a comedian actor than director.
