Hoosiers I loved this film when I was a kid, for some reason it was call the best shot in the UK when it came out.

hoop dreams is without doubt the best basketball film going. 23 years later the lessons in it still run true for those kids with talent trying to make the NBA. Has won countless awards as a documentary.

Other basketball films worth a watch:

More than a game - especially if you like Lebron James.
Gunnin' for that #1 spot - directed by Adam yauch of the bestie boys. RIP.
Other notable mentions are he got game by spike Lee. Fantastic opening scene to a film which also has a cameo by Arthur Agee who was in Hoop dreams.

Above the rim, Hoosiers, blue chips and coach carter.

Enjoy.

I'm still waiting for Hackeysack Bridge come out on DVD so I can rent it. I've always said it but war is fucking cool, I've seen enough kick ass war movies to know.

SPT Layzner OVA Act III. Finally told the ending to Layzner TV properly

Layzner is a great 80s mecha classic, the weird part is the first part of the series is like Gundam meets the real world but the second half of the series is more like Fist of the North Star..

Manchester By The Sea - Absolute dreary bollocks. Another film that goes nowhere. Casey got to be one of the most over-rated actors out there. 3/10

It's Only the End of the World.
Excellent if you like wordy films. Really got me at the end and had a big lump in my throat. Job done.
It helps having a top cast. Marion Coitillard, Lea Sedoux, Gaspard Ulliel and errrr whatsisname from La Haine and Mesrine. Minds gone blank.

Check out Mommy by same director too, Xavier Dolan is a brilliant.

Thought Manchester by the Sea was fantastic. Bit of a marmite film though as the missus didn't like it much at all (not 50 shades of greyesque enough I guess).

You best be ready for a few days at least of waking up with an uneasy feeling or just generally being aware of your surroundings because of It Follows.

It takes a while to get going but when it does the build up is worth it.

Wor Marion and Lea - I am in!!!
looked at reviews - maybe not……

"A frequently excruciating dramatic experience in which characters seem almost never to stop talking, and when they do, the exasperated Louis can't bring himself to confess what he's come there to say."

Yeah Pad it's a bit marmite according to critics.
Don't let that put you off. If you like intelligent films and great acting it's well worth your time.

Don't read reviews anyway. You'd miss quite a lot of good films of you only saw the critical successes.
