YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

US NAVY bitch, Fuck you Iran, you're gonna be up against these flyboys if you ever FUCK with America.

Only bad thing is I spotted a female wingman… 2018 Hollywood as shit and as dumb as shit..no females on earth can pull the Gs you need to pull to actually be a jet combat ace. Maybe she blacks out and dies pittfully trying to out turn a Chicom Mig, hopefully.

Mav's got an interesing G-suit in some of those shots, mission to space? Experimental aircraft? Could be cool.

And if Mav's still serving then it makes absolutely no sense that HIS BOSS is still there. That guy looks like he's about 90 years old! What the fuck??

No Tomcats : (

Come on Son, come on.

An ya what? Top Gun is class, hope they don’t fuck it up.

Really want to see Lion King but pissed off it’s Beyonce and Donald Glover as the characters as I dislike them both.

That ain't Mr. Strickland, Mil, it's Ed Harris so doubt it's s'posed to be the same character.

The trailer doesn't actually show anything of any substance.

Are we supposed to believe that Maverick has spent 34 years as a captain, or has he parachuted in at the same rank from somewhere else?

Val Kilmer seems to be in it due to public demand rather than (recent) ability.

The writers involved don't inspire confidence.

The release date was pushed back by a full year.

Positives are that it's got a good cast, Tom Cruise surely doesn't need the money so is hopefully doing it on the strength of the film, and Harold Faltermeyer is reportedly working on (part of) the soundtrack.

I don't want it to be, but I think it's going to be (stylish) shite.

Maverick is a Lt in the first one IIRC - so he’s theoretically been promoted three times and is one rank below 1* as a Navy Captain, which for his age wouldn’t be unrealistic at all within the Royal Navy - things are a bit different in the US as they tend to promote their officers more regularly based on time served in rate (provided they don’t do anything too catastrophic).

Sorry to divert the discussion from one of the most homoerotic films of all time but the new Spiderman film is pretty decent. Anyway, back on topic…

Was gonna say. Spiderman Far From Home was really good. Loved the scenes involving the Illusions and then using his Spidey sense towards the end. Hopefully Sony extend their deal with Marvel for Spidey.

Once Upon a time in Hollywood:

Massive Tarantino fan but really did not like Hateful Eight. Also did not like this. It looks brilliant, the cast is brilliant and it's they're all faultless in it but the movie is 3 hours of nothing. It could not keep my attention.

Usually Tarantino is a master of dialogue and that's what his last two movies have lacked. The same engaging dialogue that's all his previous films had. Given this movie has literally zero story/plot, then it needed it. Plus the characters aren't there. This film has it's moments for sure but I have no intention or desire to see it again.

Cry really wanted people to say it’s amazing. On the topic of the Manson murders, I watched ‘Charlie Says’. Thought Charlie’s character was a good performance but I think the whole flashback structure thing didn’t really work. If anything, it just dissipated any tension that had built up

The new master is S. Craig Zahler, everything in Dragged Across Concrete feels fresh like Reservoir Dogs felt when it came out. Dialogue, characters, extreme violence, un-PC as fuck. Hail the new master.

Bone Tomahawk came out the same time as Hateful Eight and I only just saw it a couple of months ago, different movie but also has Kurt Russel in it. It's a way more engaging movie but on a lot of levels I liked Hateful Eight too. . Nice and slow paced but kinda PC as Tarantino has been completely sucked into the Hollywood machine.
