The first one was utter crap, biggest let down ever, Pennywise is laughable, I've said it before but cgi does not work in Horror. I won't be watching the second.

Also I thought once upon a time in Hollywood was great

The Childs Play remake was better than I thought it would be

Night of the Hunter (1955). Saw a clip Scorsese talking about it on YouTube ages ago and finally got round to going to see it at the BFI. Robert Mitchum was the original Hollywood badass.

First one is defo better. The scene where Pennywise comes out of the projector properly impressed me. For the most part, the second one is decent but it's never gonna be 'scary' … it's just the jump scares that might get you.

If the first one was better then I won’t bother. First was terrible

Joker. Will no doubt divide people but I thought It was suberb. Absolutely brutal, harrowing even but totally compelling and redefines what a superhero/villan/comicbook movie can be. Loved the references/homage elements (albeit very obvious). Great score too.

Something for DC to build on and surely Phoenix to reprise his role.

Found it entertaining but incredibly shallow. Phoenix was great but hated how hamfisted and on the nose everything was.
Every character except phoenix was cardboard, his backstory so absurdly bleak it made me laugh and some scenes seemed to be made specifically for the slow that didn't understand the story.
SPOILERS:
Did they really need to literally show me that he imagined being with his neighbour?
Also the 'What do you get when you cross a mentally ill loner with a society that abandons him and treats him like trash?" line was beyond cringe.

Joker. Liked it, hopefully it ties into the Robert Pattinson reboot.

Joker. Not only did it bring a fictional comic book villian to life but it did so with such thunderous intensity whilst tackling the difficult subject of mental health, it was hard not to get carried away with the anxiety-inducing reality of Joaquin's portrayal of the Joker for the full 2 hours. Not seen a film quite like it. 10/10

Interesting how a film like Joker can have overall negative to average reviews from ‘professional’ film reviewers but gets mainly 9/10 average from the audience yet absolute garbage like ‘Hustlers’ is widely acclaimed by the industry and hated by the public….

Puzzled It has countless 4 & 5 star reviews on the poster that advertises it.

^ yes it does but have you actually read the reviews?

Based on overall critic reviews, Hustlers, Oceans Eight and Black Panther are rated higher than Joker. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

^All these were shitshows tbh

Lets also not forget Phoenix did pretty much the same role in you were never really here from 2017 as the one he did in Joker. Both cool looking but essentially vapid taxi driver knock-offs.
