Saw Star Wars last night. Honestly, I expected it to be horrendous. I thought the Last Jedi was laughable.

It's a total mess of a movie but it was better than I thought. The first half is all over the place, it gets better in the 2nd half and there are some good moments but it's totally obvious that they're making things up as they go along and trying to re-correct some of the storyline mistakes made in the previous movie. It tries to be Return of the Jedi and at one point there's a speech from Palpatine that's almost lifted word for word from that movie.

I still think there's a tiny bit magic left in star wars, it was cool seeing Lando and the cameo of wedge but it's amazing how Hollywood continues to fuck up beloved franchises from my childhood time and time again.

Bill - Thought the same. Some of the fan service was excellent (john williams cameo!) but like you said having to tie up one of the most iconic film series ever whilst putting right the last episode gave JJ a thankless task. Knights of Meh and the final order fleets were pointless.

Will get a good gauge tonight when i take the boys (who it should be aimed at, not fan boy 47 year oldsLaughing out loud )

Bad Mums Christmas I really wasn't expecting much but it is up there with the worst films I've ever seen.

Good Boys some funny moments but too tame, I'd almost let my six year old watch it.

Trading places best Christmas movie ever

TCB wrote: Biggest problem with the Irishman is it should have been made 10-15 years ago. It was nice to see these guys back on screen but the whole de-aging thing was distracting and Pacino especially seemed his age regardless of the sophisticated CGI. Still rated it though, some very memorable moments.

Bang on. Was expecting it to be too slow but was still very good and it would be hard to imagine other actors doing it justice….just a shame about them all being too old.

Yeah I was robbed of Apes, it's so good. Kinda made Fuct and Bathing Ape more mysterious and cooler at the time even though I knew of the movies, but not the references or characters.

No more J ap? Can't even say "dam n" apparantly Roll Eyes

what fa g got thought of that? Oh yeah Redsuperted
