Just watched 'Marriage Story' on Netflix. Both lead performances were great. Definitely worth a watch.

Rewatched Sonatine for the first time in a few years. Although my Japanese is decent I just cannot comprehend most oyaji slurred Japanese so my new genlock came in handy. First time I've used it on a feature, I needed to retime it on Side B but overall did an outstanding and seamless job.

Glad I've got the Japanese version, the US version cover for some reason is the image from Violent Cop, although the Tarantino monologue on Kitano sounds interesting.

I highly recommend the titties in this flick to you. All natural, not perfect but firm and spectacular. Kind of a Japanese thing, seeing beauty in imperfection.

Sonatine (1993) [BELL-643]

This reviewer really really irked me with this Jojo Rabbit reviewed by Robbie Collin

Edith Bowman got it right.

edit: what's the deal with embedding YouTube vids now?

1917. Proper. Made to look like one continuous shot as well with no cuts, fucking awesome.

hey was just thinking about it and do you reckon Pitt was styled by the editorial crew at Lightning Mag or something for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood? Must be a Japanese connection, I know Pitt spent/spends a lot of time in Japan, used to be/still is(?) the face of Edwin over there

The Gentlemen. Watchable if a little cringey.

I think this might be one of the best ‘best pictures’ nominations for a while. All the ones I’ve seen I’ve enjoyed a lot

JoJo Rabbit. I thought it was great. Some absolutely amazing lines in the film that really do show you how daft racism is in any form. Sam Rockwell was excellent as usual.

Thoroughly recommend Uncut Gems, Adam Sandler is as good as everyone has been saying in it. It is a stressful film. Also Armando Ianucci's David Copperfield is out on Friday and it's excellent.
