Nightmare Alley. Guillermo del Toro's best work in years imo

Aye I went to the cinema yesterday to see it. Loved the ending. Brutal.

Licorice Pizza - I really enjoyed this but noticed the first person to comment on it in this thread said it was rubbish.
The Big Short - great film primarily about the collapse of US sub prime mortgages.

Yes mate, Genesis. Think it was a one-off though. Most packed I've seen the cinema since the pandemic started.

'The Power of the Dog' on Netflix is worth a watch - really enjoyed the pace.

The souvenir part II. Loved it. Parallel mothers too. Two great films to go see at the cinema this month.

Is The Souvenir (part 1) worth persevering with? Watched about an hour of it the other day and was bored out of my mind.

Nightmare alley - liked it and the end in particular but still felt like it was missing something, pacing in certain parts was weird
Gucci - shockingly bad
Power of the dog - really good

I found Licorice Pizza to be really likeable, good acting and chemistry between the actors. There isnt really much of a plot or story but I found it enjoyable.

Unhinged - felt a real connection with Russel Crowe in this one. If I’d lost everything, well.
