Intriguing!

mid-life lockdown boredom, no money for a Porsche (or a Lancia) - started a pond, escalated indoors.

I would rather invest that money and see it come back. Feel like flash cars (even though I think it's gross) should be saved until you're rolling in it.

I guess it depends how much you like cars and how much money you're willing to waste on them!

But a used rolls which has done about 40% of its value in the first few years is not the worst financial decision you could make. You'd lose more buying a new s63 or 750li add to that the rolls is a nicer place to be during the time you have it and it can be justified!

The Mulsanne is an example of an absolute bargain, probably the best barge you can buy for the money, 7-8 years ago new they were around £220-250k, with less than 35k miles on them you can find very clean examples for less than £60k. Similar cost to a base S class, A8, 7 series etc, wont shit 50% of its purchase price in the next 3 years and again is a much nicer place to be.

How do the running costs of a Mulsanne compare to the others you mentioned?

EDIT: 18mpg Laughing out loud

Not too bad then. I get closer to 14mpg in my e92 m3. And my commuting car is a 3 litre diesel which manages 26mpg on a 40 mile mostly motorway commute.

If you're buying used you most likely wouldn't take it to a main dealer for servicing so the servicing costs aren't actually that bad at an indy.

Also if you love cars everything can be justified using man maths lol

Garden room finally in. It’s not all finished. Landscaping, lights, painting it etc but quality seems decent fit cheap.

I think it’s like 12 foot by 8 foot. Only posted it as someone asked for it once it was up. Think it will help when we finish the renovations and come to sell. Plenty space for a sofa, work space, tv etc on a budget.

Prob a grey like this. It’s a garden office/man cave I guess. Getting internet and power piped down.
