Never realised there was anything decent up there, only ever go in when I need to try footy boots on.

No R version because i did NOT buy new, that is mad money indeed.

It is great fun though, remove the EVF and it's discreet enough to take anywhere

Must admit I was skeptical of the EVF at first but it works great, more or less the same as a real viewfinder in practice. You'd hope so for nearly the price of an entry-level DSLR.

Ok so just how good is this thing at f/2.0 for £2.5k? I mean it is a street photography beast or a autofocus fps machine?

Comes nowhere near any DSLR in terms of AF (focus peaking is good though) or responsiveness. You pay for the picture quality and the size of the thing, basically. The Zeiss f/2 with the flagship Sony sensor is a beastly combination, perfectly sharp wide open, across the frame. ISO is comfortably usable at 6400, 12800 it starts to break up a little.

So image quality to match any DSLR, and a massive premium for the first compact full-frame camera. Great for street, and nearly everything else except situations requiring fast AF. As a caveat I paid £1.6k for the cam, EVF, and loads of accessories, which is well (£1k+ ?) below retail.
