Edit. Dualit. Had mine 8 years with no issues.

I knew I’d seen this somewhere. I have/had a dualit architect toaster which has just packed in. I’ve had it maybe 3-4 years tops. Just rang them to be told it’s a model which cannot be repaired.

Is it worth spending another ton or more on another dualit or should I just get something for a third of the price?

Sorry to hear - mines now over 12 years old without any issue !

Just bought a first 'proper' knife on the weekend. Gamechanger. Feel like cutting things up just for fun now (no stabbing). Salad for days.

A good chef and vegetable knife are real life changing purchases that you don't appreciate until you get decent ones - top 10 purchases under say 50 quid that will change your life sort of stuff imo

No idea on the brand of that but looks flash.

It's from these lot:

We've done a lot of food shows where they've been exhibiting, got a bunch of celeb chef backers.

Have a more expensive Wusthof Classic, but keep using a 20cm Victorinox Fibrox.

Feels nicer in my hand, and I don't worry about chucking it in the dishwasher - plastic handle and only £20.

Yes got a 19cm fibrox as well, entry level/beater chefs knife. Don’t put in the washer though

The food festival I went to had Global exhibiting there too. They had 'Mr. Global' there too. He looked about 90 and didn't speak a word of English, dressed top to tail in chef uniform. Ate noodles all day.

Pretty much think they picked any old Japanese dude off the street.

My daughter's started skating and loves it, I go with her & skated pretty much all my teens doing hockey, ramps, street skating, the lot. Getting back on them for first time in 20+ years was so good, hire skates are shit though. Anyone who skated in the 80s / 90s knows it's got to be Bauers Cool
