That's the sealed box that the watch comes in from Geneva.. Just cardboard and styrofoam to keep it safe.. The presentation box is massive and quite frankly unnecessary.. In my opinion they should reduce the size and make it similar to the ones they sell cufflinks in.. It actually fits much nicer and less waste..

I will post some photos for you in a bit

Thanks guys! I never buy in grey market out of principle. The margin on these are high enough as it is in retail. I received a call from the salon asking if I wanted the very last piece they have ( white dial 5711 is discontinued now) so I jumped at the opportunity gratefully .

Here you go Tony.. The difference between the cufflink box vs humongous watch box..You can take the inserts out on both , but I prefer the smaller cufflinks box for storage

Many watch collectors complain about the size of watch presentation boxes and the wastage, the watch industry still carries on and try to outdo each other with outrageous boxes

Centurionone that is stunning mate, the white 5711 is probably the most underrated 5711 imo, shadowed by everyone lusting for the blue but the whtie is so much more versatile and dressy.

All PP's arrive at their AD like that, most brands ship from factory like that in a sealed plastic bag with padding of some form, including rolex.

Am I right in saying that you could make stupid amounts of profit of that now if you were to sell it?

Do they keep the papers for a year or 2 like some places do with Rolex's?

They sell on the grey market for 55 to 60ish, retail is about 24k if im not mistaken.

Edit: Not sure about PP but rolex no longer keep papers.

People who buy and sell for a quick profit are known as “flippers” and not looked at favourably by the watch companies. If they hear about it you would be very lucky to buy a scarce watch from them ever again at retail.

Everytime Cent posts, you know some heavy P just got dropped.

Will never understand high end watches, but appreciate the engineering that has gone into them. Same with supercars.

If you look at the amount of grey market watches around its clear that many have been flipped, the manufacturers surely are aware of this too. Walk in to any independent grey market dealer in central and you will find more nautilus's than any AD has ever had, same with the royal oak and AP and the daytona and rolex too.

I think most aren't too concerned, provided you buy enough shitters from them they will generally turn a blind eye and keep allocating to you.
