Nice.

The thing that puts me off Burgundy is whether a black or dark brown belt would look 'off' with them.

Hmm, yeah… I don't really use belts that much, even with a suit, so no idea. Could look silly, though.

Thanks! Visvim 04R.

PTBs so good. Toe wear on yours already? I've been walking on my heels a lot more to avoid that. Got a couple o unsightly scratches on the top of my cordovan tho : (.

I've got a pair of PTBs on the way, looking forward to arrival. Not cordovan, neither colour 8 but yours look fantastic.

Is their an English made equivalent to the Alden PTB? Trickers Woodstock are similar but fewer eyeholes. Sanders Military line also but not available here.

Trickers Robert? (http://www.fransboonestore.com/products/copy-of-trickers-robert-derby-white-buck)

They do in a burgundy cordovan also.

I've got a pair of Trickers Robert and they're my go to shoe. I'll report back here when my PTBs arrive and let you all know how comparable they are.

I've got a few Aldens & Trickers but the cordovan used by Trickers is no comparison to the horween cordovan used by Alden. Trickers use Italian cordovan & only USA get the deep color 8.

Yeah - I can't say I'm a fan of the Trickers burgundy vs. Alden #8.

The Robert last is a winner for me though.

Thanks, would want black anyway. Just think it makes sense to buy English if there is something similar.
