Don’t think I’ve ever seen a fit pic of the kimonos worn by anyone bar Hiroki that actually looked decent.

Scratch that, I think I saw a fit pic by Dee that looked decent once.

Bruk posted a fit pic with a Kapital Kakashi that looked amazing not long back. I agree though good fit pics are few and far between.

Scroll down a bit to bruk….Here's the fit i'm on about….

Only because you can't see his face so you can just pretend he's Japanese. Proper cosplay.

He could have Frank Sidebottom's head, that fit would still look proper decent to me.

Somehow managed to log on finally after months of not being able to. Anyone else had issues? I guess whoever is now looking after the website… isn't?

Anyway, I got some raw and light blue orSlow 105s because they fit me so well. Neither selvedge. I've not been able to suss conclusively whether the former are sanforised? I suspect not partly because they are slightly roomy. Conversely the light 90s wash are slightly snug, possibly because they've been washed to fuck?

Along with the one wash and two year wash, which have three and two years wear respectively…

Those 105s look like mine (except smaller!) and mine were sold as shrink to fit.
Leg length tends to be a giveaway as mine were much longer than standard.

As far as I'm aware there's only two standard fits they do all the time, 107 which is very slim in the thigh and the 105 which is a bit of a looser fit.

Canoe Club has a good guide to how both fit.

Quest, orSlow don't do tons of different fits but the 107 is slightly narrower than the 105. Still not as slim as most APCs I've tried. I have seen some more seasonal orSlow skinny styles I think though.

GG, yes the length is longer, you're right. How have you got on with yours? Have you washed yet? Did you wash straight away? Did they give much with wear? Did they shrink much? Thanks!

I gave mine one 40 degree wash before wearing, they shrank about 2" in the leg length.
The guide said they will shrink about a size in the waist however I didn't have a size to spare so I put a waist stretcher in to keep them the same size, I also put them on just before they dried and they were fine.

They have stretched a little bit through wearing already, I've got a pair of the washed 107s and they have almost no give in them, and these definitely have.

They're still too long but I think they'll shrink a bit more next wash, but I wanted to give them some wear at least before I wash them again. After the next wash I will get them taken up as I'd like to wear these without cuffs.

This is a pic of them on:

I'd say the 107 is the best bet. 105 is essentially straight leg, 107 is a slightly taprered leg. Been eyeing up the 105's for a while, but I have about half a dozen pairs of orSlow trousers/jeans and they are great. Wearing a pair of their fatigue cords now.

If I can find them in a 5, I will get them from Japan from now on, as the saving is pretty big.

^ Hold off for sales mate. I got my 107s at something like 30% off. Ebay a good bet too.

I have 3 pairs of 107 in size 3 and all fit differently.

^ I’ve tried a few pairs of 107’s and all fitted slightly different, but none were similar IMO to any APC I’ve owned.
@Hanto, I tried a pair of Japan issued 107’s and they were tiny compared to the euro issued pair (both size 3) so make sure you check measurements before ordering.

Oh really? Didn't even know that was a thing. I'll stick to the sales then. The Bureau and Kafka are generally quite good. As is Mr P if you are lucky. The New Yorker pants are great too but the drawstring waist does not work in the cord versions; fabric is too heavy. Definitely need belt loops. Again really great pair if you can find them.

Sure you weren't going by the lettered size? As that would make sense, UK XL would be Japanese XXL.

I tried on a few pairs of orSlow jeans in Japan and didn't notice any difference?

New Yorkers are great, I live in them in the warmer half of the year. Keep missing navy ones.

Just copped some Navy New Yorkers from Peggs, with the added features. Roominess will take a bit of getting used to
