must admit i thought hip would take a small unit out of the way - was shocked to see they have a prime location near the entrance.

hope they don't go the way of Brother to Brother which folded after they expanded to bigger and more modern premises.

That is good news. I was thinking that things were not looking good (especially after Coggles going in to admin last week).
No tweets for over a month - I wondering if anyone there reads this thread?

Hi guys,I picked to stop in Leeds as one of the destinations from my UK trip. The thread was started in 2009,so I guess a lot has changed on the scene since then… I'd appreciate it if you give me some "fresh" suggestions where to stop by,besides Harvey, which I already read is told to be shit…
I am mainly looking for jeans,Nikes and probably the Balenciaga arena if I happen to be lucky.Since now,I haven't got the chance to find a pair which was not the size of a flipper - UK10 and above…

I booked a room for 10 people at a restaurant for tomorrow night which was part of Anthony's group…

Its now in administration Sad only found out when they didnt answer the phone/emails today Laughing out loud

Can someone recommend anywhere we could book today/tomorrow morning which is cheap/reasonable (£15-20 pp plus drinks) and a relaxed atmosphere? Reds bbq doesnt seem to take bookings. We are staying quite central to Leeds.

Any suggestions welcome.

Reds don't take bookings but if you call them I reckon they'd accommodate you for 20 people.

Which one where you booked in?

The BBQ one called Rib Shakk, saw them mentioned in a review of Reds in the Guardian as the better of the two. Might give them a call tomorrow to see.

Yes mate as far as i'm aware. Bit of a tricky one to find. Its between a restaurant and a coffee shop i think. Literally a small doorway. There should be a sign on the window

Leeds hype food fans rejoice:

Also in other related news,

The Pit open on merrion street - pretty good to be fair, looks shit but similar quality to reds without twatty staff / 3+ hours wait
Belgrave open next to sandanista - good beer and roof terrace + decent pizza slice bar/fish & chips kitchen - might need a moustache/face tattoo to get in…
trinity kitchen open this week - god knows whats this is like but could be good to grab something on the go when out?
Brooklyn brewery pop up in calls - pretty damn good - usual extreme pricing but good selection of beers

Was over yesterday for some Christmas Shopping. Went Greedy Pig on North Street for breaky - pretty much a perfect fry-up.

Finally got round to going to Friends of Ham which was just as good as I'd hoped it'd be.

Trinity is pretty hellish, but I like the new Hip. Still on the small side, but they had a good selection of stuff. Lots of nice APC and what OL they had actually made this season look like a half decent collection.

Still not been to The Pit though Sad
