the woman on the counter in alter8 is so miserable and doesn't listen to what you ask tho i've had 2 or 3 simple things done there that were ok. it is expensive and they make you wait like a week for stuff.

also used the tailor on lower briggate. he shortened some cords for next day and cheaper than alter8

The one on lower Briggate is called Keith Wilson Bespoke Tailor, might give him a go.

A mate of mine has just had a bespoke suit from Keith Wilson and he's very happy with the results.

Re. Alter8 - i've used them loads of times and they're good but when i had a pair of jeans tapered they used the selevedge side and ripped it out.

I went to Keith Wilson, he said he couldn't do a repair. Whether that was true or not I don't know. Took it to Alter 8 today and she seemed confident about doing it but it seems like a big production line so I dunno how much attention they give to each item. Quite nervous about leaving it with them tbh, she wrote on the ticket 'blue coat'…

it's black. Puzzled

What repair do you need?

I'm sure there's an alteration list in the window Puzzled

There is also a place opposite Hip.

I guess it must be new as I have not noticed it before.

I had a repair and alteration done at Stitches in Bramley. It's a bit out of town but she did a decent job and is a nice enough lady. I'd go back. I wouldn't go back to Alter8.

There's one on new road side in horsforth that's pretty decent, sew and sew I think it's called. They do some alterations for the kaiser chiefs I believe (csb)

Been told we have to be at our table for 8pm too Puzzled
