Just the usual popular but crap places: Whetherspoons, Squares, Yates's, some lapdancing place called Purrrple Ronnies (sic) which my mate would not stop going on about all night. I walked in then & straight back out. Then we finished the night off at Zanzibar (air con not working). No real trouble in any of those places just the usual lads & slags clientel. I've always preferred Nottingham. Better looking people & more variation
Got smacked whilst we were waiting for our taxi in the coach pickup bit at St Margarets Bus Station

Went out in Leicester on Saturday and got smacked at the end of the night by a group of lads basically for wearing a polka dot shirt (the TopMan one). I live in Loughborough (part of Leicestershire) and it's really weird that the county city is more backwards than its satellite towns. I could wear a dress round Loughborough (no trannie) and nobody would smack me. I suppose that's one good thing about having a large student population - they're all middle class liberals
So my advice would be to go to Nottingham instead

Ah yeah that's happened to a mate of mine, exact same area! You should've said you were coming down, a few mates and I (including walnuts from here haha) were down at the Orange tree most of the evening, nice and civilised there and full of "art fag type students", drink prices are reasonable too. Mate and I moved on to Mosh, which was okay… while the others went down to The Lansdowne. But to be honest, you're right Leicester is pretty shit.

nice one…at least you prevented me getting midlands orientated jimmy…you and guvnor should of come it was class, i did mention i was coming up there in a thread…….the minge upstairs was better tho.
