Hats off to all those speaking about their own difficulties. Still way too stigmatised especially amongst men. These are difficult times and most are treading water at best. You're not alone and there are always better days ahead. Wishing all here a brighter 2022.

Cheers lads, proper fucking mess I was, only just remembered really coming on here a lil bit earlier. No clue what was wrong with me I was happy as fuck mere hours before what happened, then I just wanted blood and pain. Thankfully didn't do too much damage, just sorted it out with ol' bit superglue in the morning., although looking at how much blood I lost in my sheets I probably should have went hospital, but feeling ok now.

On the plus side I am actually ok mentally as I type this, I do realize that alcohol probably really isn't for me in situations where I'm alone and have reasons to be annoyed, so will be cutting that out for the immediate future until I've at least spoken to a therapist again.

Shout outs to the FUk'ers who PM'd I'll get back to you in a few days, taking some me time to properly figure myself out, and thank you all who've commented, fucking love this community Cool

Cut out the drink completely man. Seriously changed my life forever. Definitely the route of my sorrow. Year sober never look back.

Thanks for asking man, was doing ok but pretty shitty now, got an irl problem that is fucking devasting and making me absolutely, 100% more miserable than i've ever been and it's nothing to do with my mental health.

But yeah off the alcohol for the foreseeable future, can't trust myself to not get depressed as fuck on it when I end up alone.

Hope your ok Dreep. You got any OLD mates to confide in? someone who'll tell it like it is?
90's drug use and finally realising i needed to grow up…along with a few dodge relationships then starting a family, introduced me to my own black dog. Suffered differing levels of depression for 20 years - tried all sorts of therapies and medications, None of which were for me - Hated how tablets made me feel and cynically can't do "talking therapies" etc.
only thing that really helped were real friends (no kanye), Routine - Routine -Routine and committing to a Healthier lifestyle(!). You'll get nowhere if your still on the sniff, pop etc - i found myself saying one bifter won't harm - knowing full well it would.
Yes i am now full OCD (coke cans in the fridge etc Smiling) and this year has been the toughest in a while (recon for everyone!) but another one rolls along and it will be what i (you) make of it…
Take it Easy chief and hope you've found some calm in your storm.

Sounds rough mate.

Yeah all my mates know and are doing their best to comfort me, but at the moment I just find it easier to be alone.
They've tried tough love in regards to the drugs I take twice at the very least, fully going in at me hardcore to the point we didn't speak for a month or so because they weren't fucking around with what they said, it hurt deep. This has actually kinda made things worse as the group seems splintered now, as in they often do things without me, and I'm never invited to their houses anymore for whatever reason, but I'm past caring about that now.

I'm actually doing really well in drug regards though, I'm just taking 4-6mg etizolam daily which is very weak compared to what I've been taking all year (mainly research chemicals such as bromazolam and fluralprazolam, in very stupidly high doses). At this rate I could if I'm able to resist the urge to buy something else quit within a month or two, without suffering any seizures I think.

I've got a slight routine atm of walking a few miles most mornings then working out upon getting home which always helps, just waiting on the stage where I really enjoy doing it and start pushing myself harder.

2nd this. Serious trauma in childhood relating to alcohol and stopping was the best thing I ever did. Still have the odd pint here and there but never more than one and never get drunk.

Props to you for sharing on here, Dreep.

Looking to buy a bottle of cognac for a family friend. Safe bet to get something like a Courvoisier XO from a local Majestic Wines?

Edit: just reading the posts above about stopping the booze. Oops Stay strong Dreep!

Who’s the cheapest and most reliable for pre return flight to U.K. rapid flow tests just now? Going to Tenerife next week and just want to do one of them ones you sit and FaceTime a doc who sends you the certificate.

Co-op ones are good and pretty competitive if I recall. Have done them a few times.
