this is fair. my only qualm is that it ruins the integrity of the amazon platform. but i guess if he sorted it with a gift card then its fine. i will amend the review
Yeah, that's for sure a cunt move Swede (by you, if that's not clear).
You should've either:
a) refused the gift card and stuck to your review; OR
b) accepted the gift card on the basis that the review will have an edit to say that the seller responded positively to your negative feedback by offering a gift card; OR
c) accepted the gift card and removed the review completely.
Sounds like based on your 'moral' stance about reviews being manipulated, option b) was your go-to.

if i've been gifted an amazon giftcard and i have redeemed/spent it. is there any way it can be cancelled?
long story is that i left a snobby review on some 3rd party printer cartridges (£30) i bought as they threw up an error on my printer after 3 months (outside of return period)… The seller then emailed me saying please change it and I will send you an amazon gift card for (£45). I said i wouldnt change it until i got the gift card… So i got the gift card and spent it but havent changed the comment because the seller can get fucked (or am i the asshole?)
i also reported him to amazon and got the money back for the cartridges anyway lol
