Betfair offer 6 month/1 year or permanent self exclusion so start with that - you can actually do it online through the "My Account" menu - do it now, whilst you're feeling at your lowest 'cos like you say, leave it a week or so and you'll be back on it.

And for Christ sake, don't bother with the 'tips'!

the guy I use doesnt do it for profit - he can bet himself and make enough money. He got screwed over by a high-street bookmaker, created a revenge site and now post bets to hit them where it hurts. His system is a complex one but it works. He capitalises on incorrect pricing and weak each-way races. To those that have emailed me, I will reply within the hour if there is a bet today. Obviously a disclaimer - betting is for mugs, dyor etc etc

I'm coming up to 25, so need to decide now as by the time September comes I want to be all sorted. Got nothing stopping me from jacking in work but for some reason something at the back of my mind is telling me not to……

if you've nothing stopping you, do something now. the biggest regret i have in life is not making a change in direction when I was young enough. i was telling the mrs tonight how i envied her mates daughter (if that makes sense?), she's 21 and is studying to be a clinical physcologist, something she's known for a while that she want's to do. at that age, and for many more years unfortunately, the only things i knew i wanted out of life were to fuck and get fucked.

5 years ago (when I was turning 30) I bottled a career changes, and I'm still sat at the very same desk.

At 25 get off your arse and go for it!

I agree, they do say it's easier to regret something you did do than something you didn't.

Chinese John did not have a proper job until he was 30 and is now very happily married with 2 lovely kids and a nice house. unless you want to spend the prime years of your life shinning up the greasy pole of a meaningless career, earning money for other people, there are unlimited options.
This is not Victorian England, get out into the world and drink it in. If and when you need or want a regular wage, get a safe job. Until then find something you want to do and do it. If it's not for you, try something else.

Been talking to a few people about, inc. Family who I though would be dead against it but they seem supportive as long as I dont dip into my savings too much to fund it.

Have been looking into Uni Courses over the past few days so i'm starting get my arse in gear. Anyone know how late I cant leave it before applying?
