CovOne wrote: Have talk talk costs £19 a month thats including line rental. Never had one problem with it ever. Download speeds between 400k and 1mb depending on the time of day. Only issue i have ever had is yesterday i got a letter from them telling me i have gone over my download limit. I have downloaded 50gb in the last 3 months with is well believable considering i have been downloading left right and centre. Just a brief warning that if i do exceed 40gb in the next 3 months i will have to pay an extra £5 for the add on.

Not sure why you're content with this.
My gf is with talk talk in central London and gets that speed as well and it's disgustingly slow. Avoid talk talk like the plague.

It is the best i have every experienced (Only ever had bt, aol and virgin) for £7 a month (£12 is for the landline, which i think is cheaper then bt) i can pretty much download what i like, a album takes like 2 mins and a film 10. Can understand if i was paying more but for me its perfect.

I think lots of places will still be open to capitalise on tourists. It's not a proper proscribed bank holiday is it?

So mom is about to become all manner of dead pretty soon. Cancer has robbed her of anything resembling a life for the past several months, now bedridden she has a chest infection which myself and the rest of the family have decided not to treat as she's been doped crazy for far too long and we've been told there's no hope. Doctor gave her a week to two to live. I guess I'm looking for advice from anyone who has lost a parent:

How the hell do I decide what funeral to give her?
-I'm about as atheist as they come, but distinguishing what I would want from my mom's desire is pretty difficult. All I know is she wanted to be burnt up and thats it.

What do I say?
-On her 50th I missed this amazing chance to say what an amazing mom she had been because I was too shy, a few years later I feel rather obliged to say some words. Just don't think I can, picturing saying stuff at some pedestal is difficult. Can't imagine I could last more than 30 seconds without getting all bloody weepy. Any advice on public speaking when upset?

I dunno?
-Other obvious things I'm missing. Any advice appreciated, not thinking particularly clear. What else am I supposed to do? None of her friends and family knew she was dying, so there's that to do. Lied to her today, told him his meds would make her sleepy but she would be right as rain after. Zero point in telling him the truth as his reasoning ability is just about that, zero.

So yeah, advice appreciated.

No real first hand advice as i have never been in your position but whatever you do, go and say the things you want to say. It will eat you up even more if you don't. I am also convinced through both sets of my nan and granddad dying from cancer they will know alot more about what is happening to them then they will let on so don't ever feel worried about talking to them.

I'm not really good with advice on these sorts of things unfortunately, computer/website related advice though, then I'm yer man…

in the same respect that you'd be the 'go to' guy with debt problems (spending money you don't earn or have) I'm pretty sure you've experienced a death in the family in recent times too, no?

Your local big name places wil be open; Tesco, Waitrose, Nandos etc. Pubs will be open as normal, most have it on big screen.
