Of course, whats the worst that can happen? they tell you to fuck off. That's my attitude with everything i'm unhappy with now. Don't get me wrong i don't complain for the sake of complaining but if i feel there's an issue i don't ever let things slide anymore. The last time i complained about an airline (monarch) they gave me £300 back

Turn up for a flight at t5 exactly, to the minute 45 mins before my flight.
The woman at the desk rings up someone, says I've missed check in, I have no bag to check. Sends me to another desk to "check on to the next flight". I go to this desk, the guy looks asks where I'm going and again rings someone. He asks can I board the flight, he then says "it's full?" to the person on the phone.
He then tells me that I've missed the flight. It's still 35mins to my flight at this point.
The next flights not til 2 and it's gunna cost me £350 to get on, or I could go via another airline for £500.
Anyway I go with another airline, I had gone to another terminal, bought another ticket and checked in for another flight by the time my original gate had closed.

I know I was a dick and was cutting it fine but have I just been cunted off by BA?
Surely this flight was always overbooked? And even if I had been there 1/2mins earlier I wouldn't have got on the flight??
Worth me kicking up a fuss? Wasn't worth kicking up there and then as they weren't gunna let me through and I had to be at my destination before any flight they could offer.

Probably had someone on standby, sold your seat as you didn't check in, thats what they do to ensure full flights.

If you are going to rock up last minute, always check in, you are assigned to the flight then, until that point you are just "reserving" your position, no assigned seat etc.

Complain, nothing to lose.

Yeah same thing happened to me once, missed last check in by 10 minutes with SAS, they already sold my seat as I didn't "check in" in advance. It was for business so i got another flight. still had to pay half of the error. Sad

My mate checked in half hour before and wanted to change his allocated seat, but he had the last seat.
I'm 99% sure they had over booked and if I was 10mins earlier they would have put me on the next flight with compensation.
I'll complain and see what happens.

Logged in okay, new site layout and URL is showing as beta.photobucket.com, don't get why a beta would be the main public site Puzzled

My return flight was overbooked by 44 people, had to wait at the gate like a cunt hoping someone wouldn't turn up despite being there 2hrs before flight time.
Worst trip ever.

Why wait til the last minute when you can check in on your phone and get your boarding pass 24 hours beforehand?

Ive been offered a role which would mean me being based in the North and its rather tempting and am sorta thinking of a change would be nice. Id wanna be in a city as thats what Im used to. Im thinking either Liverpool or Manchester not sure which one though. Leaning towards Liverpool but dont know enough about it. Opinions?
I have Family in Leeds so that possibility but thinking Ill enjoy the Pool more.

I've been to Liverpool a few times, and hated the palce, it seemed to be a complete shit-hole.
Leeds or Manchester would be better IMO.

How long ago nick? I lived there in the 90s and it was a shithole then but when I've been back recently I've been really impressed.
