I go Liverpool a few times a year and always enjoy it, but wouldn't want to live there. Much rather Manchester or Leeds

I just checked and I'd need to be nearer Manchester, so looks like it makes more sense to be there.
I like Manchester too. Hip Manunians where should I be looking to live?

Ordered APCs few weeks ago, decided to track on Royal Mail maybe last week, got this message.

Item **********GB could not be delivered on 2012-11-07 (and no Safeplace option was specified by the addressee). It is being held at ******* (SO) DO pending instructions from addressee.

How to proceed?

Get a short term rent on a place in deansgate locks.
Then you are bang in the city and can enjoy it.
No point moving to sleepy didsbury, it's dull as fuck and you will spend a fortune on cabs to the city. Pointless.
It's so cheap to rent, you can get a penthouse in deansgate for the price of a box room in hackney.

Then after 6 months you can decide if you like city life or a Sunday roast in the metropolitan

This is about right, and in that order as well depending what your looking for. Both nice suburbs.

I need to be amongst it, single again after a while locked down so think City Centre will suit me best.

City centre is best for you. Deansgate is good as themistake said, have a look at northern quarter and green quarter too, there are some nice central places.

snaye, in my experience, if you're used to cities, imo the most important thing is to be connected and Manc city is the best of the choices you've mentioned.

i would also seriously consider moving up there given the lifestyle that can be had

Smithfield Buildings in NQ is nice if you can find something in there. Also century buildings off deansgate for something a bit quieter. Avoid the beetham tower or salford quays
