Malmaison in Newcastle is OK, but it's not 5 star impressive. I only stayed in a mid price room so can't talk about the suites.

Malmaison is good to be fair. Only stayed in asuite though. Some of the best views of Newcastle. It's close to the city centre when compared to some of the others in it's class.

Have a look at Hotel Du Vin, Jesmond Dene House.

Others that are more central Kensington Aparthotel, Indigo (newest build, with a Marco Pierre White restaurant).

Give me a shout if you're after decent places to go and eat etc.

Ordered a Nexus tablet as a present from google. Just took delivery of two, as they've sent me someone else's order but with my name on the label (receipt is for someone else) - reckon I can keep the other one if no one says anything? Smiling

Most computers if they don't fail in the first 6 months will run for years, my last home PC lasted nearly 10 years, second hand ones can be a good buy.

True, bought 3 MBPs and a Macbook for myself & family, never had a problem. My next MBP will be refurb.

You don't buy second hand mice and keyboards, that's a horrible thought, like buying a second hand matress.

My undercover parka with wax-cotton sleeves has some weird red mark on the sleeve (wish this little detail had been on the listing but oh well) - would re-waxing the sleeves get rid of the mark, or just make it more prominent?
