Going for St. Patrick's Day?

It's not that long a flight, some music, films and reading materials and you'll be fine. Assuming (no BA Baracus).

We'll be there for st patricks andy, theres usually good boxing on that night at MSG so we're hoping to get to that. Flight is about 9 hours. On reflection the flight itself won't be so bad, but we have to get up about 4am to get to the airport. I won't be able to sleep knowing I have to rise at that time, is there anything I cna take about 10pm that would help me sleep for 6 hours? This should probably be in the drugs thread.

9 hours sounds a bit long, I thoguht it was a bout 6.5

Bonuses - Is there anything you can do if your employer reduces your bonus if your contact states Salary + Bonus but does not stipulate an amount for the bonus? Just had a meeting at work and been told that the bonus will be potentially 20k less next year Sad

Macc is grim!

Would it be better to stay in Manchester/Stockport and commute to Bollington if you were looking at a job there?

Yeah, i wouldn't advise living in Macc. Or Stockport for that matter! There are a lot of nice areas around there though. Wilmslow, Bramhall, Hale

Even if you chose to live in Manchester City Centre, the train journey to Macc is only around 35mins.

What do you do job wise ?

Looking at applying to a healthcare consultancy down there. I though I'd find out a bit about the area before applying.

Don't stay in Stockport. Only good thing is the transport, shit hole otherwise.

Try areas like Heston Moore, Heaton Chapel, Cheadle Hulme.

Macc is commutable from city centre or places on that train line such as Heaton Moor (less frequent service) or Wilmslow but I assume youre a young lad inverse so you will be bored, city centre best imo.

You could look at suburbs such as Chorlton or studenty Withington/Fallowfield but you would then need to get into the city centre to get the train… Driving to Macc or similar is doable of course and that would open up your choice a bit but I cant really comment on that.

Get a new one for £30 from the apple shop probably. Say the battery is losing charge after half an hour.

anyone learnt a foreign language recently, any recommendations on best programs to do so, (I do not have time to go to lessons etc) I am mostly interested in learning to speak and understand not really interested in writing or reading so much. I have someone I can speak italian daily with, but I need something to help build vocabulary and understand how to structure sentences etc

yes that is the obvious one, but it has a lot of things that are useless to me,I will not use online chat with italian speakers, I will not use a cd-rom, it just seems a very dated set up,that works if it was say my mum learning but dose not work for me.
