Missus is looking to do wine tasting for her birthday. Has anyone done this around the London area? If so, anywhere they'd recommend?

Looking for a new TV. Don't want anything large or imposing. We're going to scrap Sky/Virgin etc as not using it anymore. Will likely just be screening things from the iPad to the TV. Smart small TV would be good.

What's the best, or who makes the nicest looking, small TVs? Had a look and all I can see are small TVs with huge bezels and shit stands. I want sleek and unobtrusive.

Any takers?

Looking to buy a pair of leather boots for winter from an American company don't think they have any UK stockists.

They are $65 down from $109, look decent quality and are exactly what I'm after for a great price. Unfortunately posting them to UK would cost $52. Is there anyway to get them posted out cheaper?

cant imagine anyone proxying for me as I'm not I really a regular poster on here and fair enough was just wondering if there was anything I could do to drop postage at least a bit so it's not nearly as expensive as the shoes themselves. Cheers

Post the boots and we will tell you if they are worth the hassle and give you some UK available alternatives.

109 buck boots are very unlikely to be high enough quality to be worth bothering with.

postage sounds about right if it is sent via USPS Priority mail. usually takes about 5-10 working days and it is trackable.

You can request that the order gets shipped via normal airmail but you won't be able to track it

You are probably right about the quality in all honesty, not that clued up on boots really. I know redwing do them in this style but that's about it.

Have a look on eBay for Thorogood boots. They are considered to be one of the best Red Wing alternatives and a lightly used pair will be within your budget.

Looking for dating advice. The be yourself thing isn't really working out anymore, as myself is a 40 year old with a low paying job and no car. For my 40th birthday I walked around and had a nap after. I don't like women, I never have, I just want to have sex with them. I guess this works okay when you're 22 and have an excuse to be poor and have "potential"..how can I go back in time? Or should I just give up and focus on my hobbies more?

i once travelled as matt on the ticket instead of matthew on the passport. Was due to auto fill on my mac, bird at passport control/lounge bit didn't bat an eyelid.
