Nothing exciting, my cooker has died. Anyway best place to buy a decent range oven without breaking the bank?

You looking for brand recs or shop recs? I always find AO are good for that kind of thing.
My current house has a full-fat dual fuel range, they're very nice but service isn't incredible for the price. Door catch recently broke on it and they quoted ~£200 to fix as it's out of warranty (it's just over 2 years old). Took me 20 mins to fix with a part off amazon which cost £5.

Not wanting to resurrect the old tipping debate (although it might bring back Nobes) but when you settle your bill and pay by card in a pub / restaurant and it asks if you want to tip, does the full amount you tip go to the waitresses or does it get rinsed by the owners?

Never tip, unless the service has been exceptional

What if they add it on? Do you ask to remove it?

This. Always ask if they get it themselves and only tip cash

It goes through on the system/receipt differently as gratitude normally so I would expect the restaurant to dish the amount out per night. Of course, some restaurants wont.

Tipped the flirty hot waitress after a meal with the missus and inevitably had a blazing row about it afterwards, missus reckons the lass won't even get the tip as I paid with a card and the machine asks if you want to leave a tip (shows on the card receipt as gratuity).

Had my card skimmer / cloned and used to try and buy credit at a Gibraltar based online bookies. Sorted now after speaking to my banks fraud team.

Has this happened to anyone else in the last week or so? In particular if they have bought something from Peggs & Son?

Maybe being paranoid but Peggs & Son told me their site was under a DDOS / hack attack but they didn't get access, then this happens a week or so after I bought something from them online.

quite a common way to launder money, using bookies with stolen cards

Yes, they tested it with a small amount then tried to make increasingly large deposits on gambling sites.

I'm just wondering where the card info was nabbed from, I know it's probably a dodgy ATM or employee rather than P&S.

Card issuers tend to be pretty on top of that kind of thing - I've had a card blocked for online use (and then replaced) when my bank found out that a company I had used it at in the past had been hacked. I'd say it's unlikely that it was from Peggs & Son and they didn't tell the truth about what was compromised.

Corduroy trousers? Stretch, or no stretch?

Just received some that are too tight, hoping they'll give a little?
