Planning a trip to Newcastle for my birthday at the end of November. Aside from Airbnb and HomeAway, does anyone know a decent option for accomodation for 16-20 people? If it's a hotel/BnB i'll need around 12 rooms.

Stayed here at a stag the other day. They do rooms of 6 bunks.

Central location and were pretty relaxed with our antics.

Talking about Airbnb, one of the apartments next to me started it a couple of weeks ago. Watched in horror as 60 people and a DJ came in on Friday night at 11am, filling a two bed apt. Went on til 4.30am. Didn't sleep a wink. Yes old.

If this starts to be a regular thing you can find out the owner's details and who the mortgage lender is from the Land Registry.

Chances are that renting out the place is against their mortgage terms and you can get them in some serious bother with the bank.

^hah nice one, I'll look into it if it gets worse. I thought there would be some kind of insurance issue for having that many people in such a tiny space.

I'm pretty sure they are gifts that are associated with the most personal of events. Valentines/birthday/weddings/life events.

EuroHostel is pretty close to the action and has an ok bar attached to it called Ware Rooms or something. World HQ (a club) is just around the corner and decent. Popular with stags.

It may also be against the terms of the leasehold. A couple of flats in my building were on Airbnb until the building management company caught wind and pointed out the leasehold states all lets must be a minimum of three months.
