I never thought of it this way before.

Last few pages have been a fantastic read. I'm off to have a Milligan off the washing line.

Friends of ours have a neighbour who casually stepped out the front door one day, turned 180 and proceeded to have a piss back into his own hallway. I would guess he is half a step away from a driveway wank.

One for the parents in here….

Received primary school admission letter. Did not get any of 1st 3 choices (all within one mile of home) and have been allocated a poorly performing school in the middle of a rough area 3 miles away. Over my dead body etc.

Struggling for places at anywhere decent and those available would be a nightmare for getting to/from work for the missus to the point where it feels like she would have to give up her job.

From what I have read, appealing seems a bit pointless.

Feels like going to have to move house or pay for private schooling.

Annoyingly, others I know have all got their first choice.

Not really sure what to do at the moment.

Any Fukers been through this and come out the other side?

Whether you feel it’s pointless, you need to appeal straight away.

Very strange how you’ve missed out on all 3 first choices, never heard of that before that’s well shit.

That’s crap you didn’t get any of your top 3. Like LFC said never heard of it. Definitely appeal. Don’t think moving is going to work if you are that close to your choices already. Unless you mean to move to a completely different area just based on schools. But then there is no guarantee you would get it.

Private school is a lot of money. My parents sent me private and I don’t think it’s something I am going to do for my boy. I am sure there are people who benefit from it but I don’t think I did. Couldn’t wait to get out of the place once GCSE’s were done.

Seems like only grounds of appeal are that there has been a mistake or the case for your child needing that school is really strong like they have special equipment or teachers etc that other schools don’t have.

Reasons like proximity, friends going there, fitting in with work etc not classed as need but want.

Read about a woman who has 3 kids allocated to 3 diff schools and her appeal on the grounds of not being able to be in 3 places at once was rejected.

Are you still in Leeds, if so where abouts? The wife says they have had loads of problems in the authority, schools are well over subscribed. She says you should definitely appeal though, they have made that much of a mess of it all people are winning so don't give up kick up a stink.

Similar thing happened to us, albeit we got the 3rd choice but it wasn't ideal.

Spoke with the 1st choice, got on the waiting list, they told us how many were on it and what position and what the chances are, depends on year sizes etc.

It may not be the case for your particular school but a lot of people accept places then cancel, particularly if they're then going private.

Got offered a place at the first school in the Summer iirc, but was in the process of moving and told them to fuck off and got the local school near the new house.

This was in Surrey so not sure it applies with all Local Authorities.

This is Sheffield, not Leeds

We are currently 3rd 3rd and 4th on waiting lists for our first 3 choices but I know you can get bumped down these lists.

Feds knocked on his door this morning and took him away, took a fairly big brown paper bag out with them aswell. No sign of him returning yet either, we both feel a bit bad on the guy as he must have a problem but aside from ocin, no-one we’ve spoke to has said we shouldn’t have reported him.

Hopefully he gets the help he clearly needs before he does something worse. You did the right thing. Tearing the head off it in public is far from acceptable behaviour.

To add, he was out yesterday morning around a similar time with his pants round his arse cheeks rubbing his crotch again. Never seen anything of him before but we are normally out to work by then.
