Random one…
I found my car door open / ajar this morning. Nothing was taken from the car from what I can see. I’m 99% sure I forgot to lock it last night.

Weirdly I found a phone left on the seat, typical burner phone, it’s showing ‘no service’ but there are outgoing calls at 5:30am ish. Pretty sure it’s a dealers phone going through the contacts and activity time.

Not sure what to do. I’m thinking i had a lucky escape as they couldn’t start the car. Do I report it to the police? Or take the car to the dealership to be looked over? Or just carry on as nothing happened?

Had the same thing happen to me only minus the phone left behind. I called the police just as a heads up really, they couldn’t do anything as we had no cameras at the time and there was nothing left behind but they did say it’s always worth reporting as they will step up patrols around your area.

Wouldn’t be arsed taking the car anywhere, chances are they just wanted some easy stuff to take.

The phone must be of interest to the police though you’d think..

Spoke to the police earlier, they couldn’t have cared less as no crime was committed. They were absolutely useless. Bigger issues for them to tackle i guess

The phone keeps on getting loads of blank messages from random numbers. So odd. Hanging onto the phone for now to see if anything interesting pops up.

There’s a dealer ‘Tom’ in London who sold his phone, and all the contact with it, for £30k. He now lives in ibiza and earns a commission from each sale made from his old phone Laughing out loud

with iptv i just to un tech savvy to get my head around it/what happens when it gets cut off? obviously would love to be able to figure out only spending £100 odd a year over a grand if someone can idiot proof the set up for me

IPTV route sounds like it could answer the probs but for lack of aerial you could try a wideband plug in, picked one up from amazon for about £15, transparent plastic thing, popped it on a window and it picks up the full array.

you got a link for the wideband thing??

cheers

Was via Amazon but could be out if stock or disco, but this one..
