No kids so school and anything related not a factor. Lots of friends in South so that is preferable but happy to look around elsewhere if there's good options. Looking for 2.5 bed house within ~45mins of London Bridge. £400-450k budget. Any recommendations on decent areas to check out?
Penge, maybe Sydenham, East Croydon - Stay Away from West Croydon, Other than that you're looking at Deep SE like Charlton, and those areas.

Cheers, chaps. A few in there that I hadn't considered. Penge, CP and Becks slightly outside my price-range I reckon.
Anyone know much about Bexleyheath, Plumstead and surrounding areas?

Bexleyheath and Plumstead is what I was referring to as Deep South East, out of those two I would prefer Bexleyheath, Plumstead is cheaper but I find it just too far out and excuse the term just Grey and Dingy, you go to live there when hope dies. You're close to Woolwich as well which is quite high on crime.

Down this coming weekend. Anything specific worth checking out. Was wanting to catch van gogh alive but it’s off for a few weeks so was a bit gutted about that. Saturday evening I’m pretty much booked up but Friday and Sunday needing some recommendations food, drinks and any events etc? Last minute as usual but any tips appreciated.
I’ll eat pretty much anything really not a fussy eater at all. I’ve booked korean dinner party in kingly court for in between theatre and comedy show on Saturday night. Friday I’ve got a night out with some pals at the jazz cafe. I see it’s also london cocktail week (month) so will most likely check out some venues. Was more just if there’s anything must see on this weekend.
It's Oktoberfest this weekend, I'm going to this one - reckon it looks best of what's going on in central: https://www.germankraftbeer.com/events/london-craft-oktoberfest-2021
