What are you on about? In my experience, residential and commercial surveyors are far more cautious than they should be (often way under market value).

Waiting on valuation to release the mortgage money. No fines for running over completion dates. Planning on moving the first week of November if everything goes to plan.

Still under notice in my current flat until the end of November, but some repairs required so need to leave time after moving for that to get done, doesn't seem to be an issue on re-renting viewings on it nearly every day so not long on double bils.

Overall HSBC has been totally amazing on my application, my first meeting was the 2nd of october, and my final paperwork arrived today to send back for money release once the valuation confirms, this is under 15 working days!

Overall I am close to a month reservation to completion which is super fast.

Icing on the cake would be a higher valuation than purchase price. Sticking out tongue

Completed, keys tomorrow.

Just picked up 2x kingsize VI spring beds and matresses from my directors hotel.

Best part of £10k, worth navigating oxfords streets in a luton van.

Any recommendations? What would be the best location to stay?

anyone lived in walthamstow. i moved down to london around 12 months ago and have been based in maida vale for that period. looking to buy and seems you can get a lot for your cash in walthamstow.

zone 3 but 20-25 mins into central london. is there owt there or is it a dump? going in a few weeks to have a proper look.

I'm still in the Barbican, love the flat (barrel vaulted ceiling, top floor, orignial features) but the rent is absolutely killing me now the GF has moved out.

Any ideas on somewhere close to the City but cheaper!
What is Borough saying these days?

Was a toss up between barbican & borough when I bought my first gaff. Ended up buying in borough (bermondsey st ) which is a great location but now I'd give my right bollock to have a place in barbican Ubercool

pops - golden lane is a bit cheaper but not much, not enough to warrant the upheaval of moving.
