Thanks Duff, didnt know about that site. I didnt put a budget because I wanted to get an idea of areas first but I guess it's quite integral… Guess absolute max of 850 inc bills (assuming another £140 a month for zone 1-3 travel). Not that fussed about a trending area more commute time but I gather old street is costly.

You could live in somewhere v. nice for that

I'd go somewhere east, you might want south if GF is tooting? Bermondsey / borough / london bridge all easy for old street and nice but still a ways away, maybe Brixton or similar

just get in with a bunch of aussies if its a short term thing - they pay the cheapest rent in london (fact) because they keep places occupado and backfill. i paid a few years ago 450 all in for a massive room by clapham north tube for 3 months with aussies.

Saw The Hoff one time in The Gun a few years back . Was having a lash & there's the Hoff having a lash right next to me. Was a very very surreal moment.

Grubs nice in there anyway.

Looks like I am moving in with my bird now. Will be working in Farringdon & Moorgate. Looking for a 1bed flat in the £1000-£1500 market I suppose.

What areas should we be looking? Im 30 shes a bit younger, have seen suitable places in Bermondsey and the Old Kent Road area.

Lived in Earls Court area last year, more towards kings road direction. The area isn't even that great. That price is just nonsensical. There isn't even a bog!

I actually can't believe the rent prices in London they are appalling. Living in Dublin now and the euro equivalent of 563 would get you a very decent place.
