Guvnor I would look into West London or South West - unless you wanna move to east or north where everyone from outside of London tends to reside these days because it's seen as hip and cool. Bunch of 30 somethings making a silk purse out of a pigs ear
this is so wrong. West and SW especially is the most expensive parts of London. North is completely different from East, totally different people, and half of the East wankers are moving South, Brixton Peckham etc.

So South West or West then lol - Putney and Barnes both really nice and so is Parsons Green

Menace, his budget is 2.5k, don't think money is an issue

Peckham is south east and Brixton is South…….not South West so dont know why they have been mentioned

Balham ? 15mins to Victoria on the train and has Northern line as well. Putney has a more desirable name / postcode but whenever I have visited friends there it seems a bit dull (relatively).

I've generally found that to be the case for most of South West London.

Places like Chiswick, Barnes, Putney are nice parts of town, but there's definitely more to do for a 25-35 year old in Hackney.

Really - like what? There is a thing called London transport and Uber lol. Would much rather live in Richmond than Hackney if I'm 30 odd looking at kids and got 2.5k to blow on rent

How old are you Egan?

Cracking Pubs, Restuarants, Clubs, Coffee Shops, Decent Shops, Broadway Market, Victoria Park, close to Shoreditch, the City and the Centre of Town.

30, but don't have kids. If I did, there would certainly be a better argument, but we'll need to disagree on this one, as I'd be Hackney over Richmond.
