Cheers mate, came across that place already. Works out about £100 less than Mr P.

You won't regret it, barely a mark on mine 2 years later

Anyone else had Rimowa issues? My handle only seems to go 1/3 of the way up when there are items in the case. Been back for repair already (bought in Dec15)and used this weekend - same issue. Opened the case, handle was fine. My cheap Tesco case never ever had this issue

Looking at the Rimowa Classic Check-in medium - where's the cheapest place these days/what's a cheaper alternative?

Buy a pre-bashed one off of ebay then get it serviced if necessary. Shiny new ones make you look well mainland.

Conductor the suitcases come direct from the Rimowa factory in Czech Republic so take longer, think mine took 10 days, but probably longer now.
Do bother trying to baby a Rimowa it will f up, my cheap market job 4 wheeled suit case is holding up better.

Are they not even made in Germany!

Aluminium ones are made in Germany or Canada.
Polycarbonate are made in Czech Republic.

Any recommendations for a low key casual looking backpack with minimal branding and 'proper' straps. Most of the better looking ones aren't very useful for much more than getting the train to work. Needs to do motorbike trips, cycling to work, short hikes, general travel/flights. Something like a Vis Ballistic would be good but I wouldn't want to put a £500 bag in hold luggage, etc.

Ortlieb sounds like what you’re asking for in the first half but this hold luggage stipulation make it sound like you need two different bags

Lexdray are hard wearing and look good, still pricey though
