Any good new places to eat in Manc this Saturday with the missus? Am getting a bit tired of the same spots.

And has anyone tried Steak and Lobster in the Radisson yet?

Nothing noteworthy has opened in the past couple of months apart from a few places in south Manchester.

Cant tell whether moving to the NQ has been a good or bad thing yet. Have this urge to go our every night for the past month. What I have learnt though is that the staff in the Terrace get right on my tits.

Not the style of most people on here but there is Hervia Bazar on Spring Gardens if thats your thing.

www.hervia.com

Not sure what brands they carry instore, seems to be tailored for international students (a lot of CdG play).

Went to Montpelier's today to watch the football as its right by my flat. Seems a bit cramped upstairs and the basement which has two good HD screens is obviously dark. Nice and quiet for the football as an alternative to Tibb st but not sure if they will get the 3pm games.

Think they will need something extra to draw the crowds in such as cheaper prices (its about £4.20 a pint (Moretti, Heineken, Kronenbourg) or the promised live entertainment. Food was being served but I didnt have any, seems pretty standard pub style sandwiches though, a french menu or french beers could give it some extra interest.

Also other than McLures can anyone recommend a barbers or hairdressers which is around £25 or less? I am trying to grow mine with a view to a restyle in a few months. I have been to the one in Stevenson sq for a trim which was ok at £12 or so but dont quite trust them.

The one a few doors down are alright as long as you explain what you want (take a photo).

Given up on McLures, they do a good job but really can't be arsed waiting 40mins for a trim.

Hervia isn't too bad, they have some Junya bits & some CDG but it's mainly tack.
The TKMAX on Market St isn't bad either, was lots of Yuketen in there at a point,
lived in NQ for a while & the maple burger in Common was incredible, dunno if they still do it tho.

Mr Male grooming in spinning fields is good. £20ish. Karl and Chris do the best cuts

I can get there when its quiet but it seems to be £25 if you select a stylist (without even making an appointment) which is too much IMO. They also offer once a month for £20 but as I am trying to grow it I dont need to go that often. The one a few doors down I assume is Stevenson sq barbers not the new hairdressers?

Yeah sorry, it's Stevenson - couldn't remember the name buddy.

I've been growing mine for a while, just stuck to my local barbers for the past 6 months.
Now they know what suits me and what type of cut I'm after they do a bloody good job, comparable to McLures and £15 quid cheaper.

I know it doesn't help but if you can stick to one as long as possible it'll pay off.

Any Fukers recommend a decent Thai restaurant in or around town? Been to chaophraya, anything a bit more authentic?

Was going to say TryThai as well, I am no expert on Thai food but have always had a decent meal there. Reasonable lunchtime prices as well.
